Asian Style Shrimp with Peppers | Ready Chef Go Bags

Here’s a quick shrimp meal that you can whip up in a matter of minutes thanks to Ready. Chef. Go!®

Serves 3 to 4

  • 1 lb of shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • ½ cup shiitake or white mushrooms
  • ½ cup multi colored bell peppers, sliced ½ inch thick
  • 3 tablespoons of egg whites

Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of citrus ponzu sauce
  • 2 ½ tablespoons of toasted sesame oil

Garnish

  • Pinch of toasted sesame seeds
  • 2 Persian cucumbers, sliced diagonally

Using a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, ponzu sauce, and sesame oil and set aside. In a separate bowl, mix the shrimp with the egg whites and then pour the sauce on top. Place the shrimp and vegetables (except for the sliced cucumbers) in a Ready. Chef. Go!® bag. Seal the bag and give it a gentle shake to ensure that the ingredients are evenly distributed.

Microwave the bag at full power for 5 minutes or bake in the oven for 20 to 25 minutes at 350º F.

After plating, arrange the sliced cucumbers on the edges of the plate and sprinkle the toasted sesame seeds on top of the food.
