BBQ Italian Sausages and Grapes

Here’s a quick sausage meal that you can whip up in a matter of minutes thanks to Ready. Chef. Go!®

Serves 2

  • 3 Cups Grapes (I used a mix of organic green, black & red seedless grapes)
  • 4 Sausages, cut into attractive bite sized pieces
  • 1 Shallot, ring slices
  • Salt & Pepper to Taste
  • 2 Tbs Cream Sherry
  • 1 1/2 Tbs Soy Sauce
  • 1 1/2 Tbs EVOO
  • 3 Key Lime Wedges or Lemon Slices
  • (Opt) 1 Sprig Oregano or Thyme
  • 1 Ready. Chef. Go!® Oven and Grilling Bag
  • More fresh herbs, fresh shallot or scallion slices and fresh or roasted citrus for garnish

Add whole grapes to the bag on top of the parchment liner. Cut the sausages into large attractive pieces and put on top the grapes. Add in separated shallot slices, sprinkle on salt and pepper, sherry, soy sauce, and EVOO. Top with key lime wedges (or lemon slices). Add the optional herb sprigs attractively on the very top. Seal the bag.

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS: BBQ on an open grill foil side down or roast in a 450 oven for 15 to 20 mins, depending on BBQ heat and how you like your grapes cooked. Cook sausages to a temperature of 160 in the center. It’s nice when the grapes are quite tender.

Let rest for 3 mins before opening the bag. Garnish w/ more fresh herb sprigs, fresh shallot or scallion slices and additional citrus either fresh or roasted as desired. Follow all instructions printed on the Ready.Chef.GO! BBQ bag.

NOTE: Ready.Chef.GO! bags allow for excellent texture and fast high heat cooking in the oven or on the BBQ grill. The results are always succulent and tender. You’ll taste the difference. When grapes are at peak season, take the opportunity to showcase them in all their succulent ripeness. Use any sort of sausages, pork, chicken, turkey of any flavors. Use vegan sausages like Field Roast and promote as a great vegan BBQ option. You can use raw or pre-cooked sausages as the grapes do take a fair amount of time to cook.
