Herbed Chicken and Mushrooms

Combine Herbed Chicken and Mushrooms with a little rice for a delicious and healthy meal that’s a breeze to create.

Serves 1

  • 1 6-8 ounce skinless, boneless chicken breast
  • 1 cup of cremini, button or oyster mushrooms
  • ½ cup of pearl onions (fresh is best; if frozen, defrost beforehand)
  • ¼ cup of chopped fresh rosemary & thyme
  • Pinch of sea salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Olive oil
  • 1 Ready. Chef. Go!® Microwave and Oven Steam Cooking Bag

Thinly slice the mushrooms and combine with the pearl onions, rosemary and thyme. Lightly coat the chicken breast with olive oil. In a Ready. Chef. Go!® bag, add the chicken breast and top with the mushroom, onion, rosemary and thyme combination. Sprinkle a pinch of salt and pepper to taste. Seal the bag.

Microwave or bake the ingredients. Microwave for 5 minutes. If baking, set the oven to 350º and bake for 20 minutes.

Remove the bag from your microwave or oven. Slowly cut the bag with scissors (beware of steam) and plate your meal. Serve with your choice of steamed rice: white, wild, Basmati or long-grain are good options.
