4 Servings Per Bag

For the sauce:
  • ½ Cup Pineapple Juice
  • 1/3 Cup Cream Sherry or Broth
  • ¼ Cup Low Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tbs Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tbs Sesame Oil
  • 1 Tsp Fresh Ginger, microplane
  • 1 Tsp Corn Starch
  • ½ Tsp Black Pepper
The Main Ingredients:
  • 1 1/3 Pound Organic Chicken Drumsticks
  • 1 Medium Red Onion, sliced
  • 1 ¾ Cups Pineapple, large chunks

Using standard RCG! cooking bags, blend the sauce & set aside. Consider using our delicious pineapple teriyaki sauce (ingredients listed above) or your favorite prepared teriyaki sauce. Peel & dice the pineapple or use frozen or unsweetened canned pineapple. Slice the onion lengthwise as shown in the video below. Load the pineapple into the bags. Top w/ onion slices then chicken drumsticks. Whisk the sauce well & pour over all the ingredients and seal the bag.

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS: Put the sealed bag into your slow cooker & cook on low for 4 ½ hours. Let rest 10 mins before opening the bag. Serve with your favorite RCG! sides like Japanese Citrus Miso Vegetable Medley. Serve any leftover pineapple teriyaki with Japanese rice.

NOTE: Ready. Chef. Go! bags allow for excellent texture in the microwave & fast high heat cooking in the oven. The results are always succulent & tender. You’ll taste the difference. This Polynesian/Japanese dish cooks itself in the slow cooker w/ practically no cleanup and will become a family favorite for dinner, picnics & game day party fare.
